AzEdu.az reports that these remarks were made by Vusal Khanlarov, Head of the Department for Informatization of the Education System under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, while answering journalists' questions.
"Digital lessons and digital textbooks have been provided to both students and teachers for a long time now. Students already prefer lessons to be conducted with electronic textbooks and utilize these opportunities.
In the future, class teachers and our other staff members will also be involved in this project in the digital school format that will be introduced. These resources will enable teachers to conduct lessons effectively using textbooks.
Observations show that digitalization is not at the same level everywhere. Therefore, teachers can decide today whether to conduct lessons using electronic or traditional textbooks."
