The graduation exam for 11th graders was held in recent days. A large number of applicants noted that the exam was difficult.
In such a case, will there be those who achieve maximum results? Or could a decrease be observed in the number of applicants achieving maximum results?
Education expert Elchin Afandi, commenting on the topic to AzEdu.az, noted that, unfortunately, the number of those who approach the graduation exam non-seriously is quite high:

"However, we always emphasize that this exam is the first stage of the university entrance exam. Applicants collect 300 out of 700 points specifically in this exam. Despite this, many evaluate this exam as simple or merely an attestation exam.
Precisely for this reason, it is important to prepare seriously for the exam. Alongside preparation, the proper training of applicants is also of great importance. Sometimes we observe that on some platforms, applicants are only accustomed to simple questions. As a result, when they encounter more difficult or new types of questions in the exam, they consider the questions to be excessively difficult.
It is as if all questions appearing in the exam must have been practiced beforehand, and applicants must have definitely seen those questions. However, there is no such rule. That is, it is not mandatory for the questions included in the test collections or class tests compiled by the State Examination Center to appear in the entrance exam in the same form. It is possible that 1, 2, or 3 of those questions may be presented in the exam with certain modifications.
However, there is no requirement for all questions to have been practiced beforehand. New questions are regularly added to the question database, and applicants take the exam based on these questions. The unified program implemented by the State Examination Center is based on the curriculum defined by the Ministry of Science and Education for complete secondary general education. No topic or question outside the program is presented. No one can claim that any topic given in the exam is not in the curriculum.
We believe that there will be applicants achieving maximum results this year as well. Because we have such an expectation. Two years ago, the number of those who achieved maximum results in the 9th-grade graduation exam was 26. From this perspective, I believe that there will be applicants achieving high results this year as well. Among 58 thousand people, it is likely that those who score maximum points will also be found.
Regarding whether the exam was difficult or easy, it is only possible to express an opinion after the results are announced. Currently, it would not be appropriate to give a definitive opinion on this matter".
